             Sunday School and Crèche There is no Sunday School today due to the holidays. 

                The children  for Crèche go through to the Hall after the second singing.             

            Crèche duty today: Ina MacLean and Cathie McKenzie

            Crèche Next Sunday:   Lorna MacIver and Fiona Garvie.                                                                                 

            Innis Mhor: There is a service in the nursing home at 3pm today.

            Evening Prayer Group:  This meets at 5.35 pm in the Hall.

            October Door Duty:  James Skinner and Ian Mackay.

             Youth Fellowship:   The Y.F will have a quiz night tonight at 7:30 pm in the home of Rod and Emma MacKenzie – Deebank in Hilton, IV20 1XP.   

              Their’s is the 8th house on the left after Hilton Primary School.  

Monday – The Strategy Committee of Presbytery meets in the church hall in Tain from 11am to 3pm. 

TuesdayCraft Group meet in the Hall from 2 to 4.30 pm.  All welcome.

                       Road to Recovery meets in hall at 7.30p                                                                

Wednesday   Tain lunch Club will resume on 26th October with team 4 on duty.  

                                The New Church Project Team will meet in the church hall at 4pm.

                                Prayer Meeting & Bible Study will be at 7.30 pm in the hall. 

Thursday     Casan Beaga. The Parent and Toddler group  meet this week.

Midweek Offering:  All donations in the plate at the midweek meeting will be put towards the New Church Fund from now on.  

Health Centre Clean-UpThanks to all those who helped out this week and last week in tidying around the Health Centre.

Lunch Club Volunteers: We need 4 new volunteers to go on the lunch club rota.   It means about 2.5 hours once a month to set-up, serve & tidy up on a Wednesday between 11am and 1.30pm.   Speak to Mairi if you can help.

Northern Presbytery: Presbytery meets in the Free Church in Brora on Tuesday 25th October at 7:30 pm.

Jewellery Collection:  The New Church Fundraising Committee is organising a collection of unwanted jewellery, gold, silver or platinum, as well as disused silver cutlery and any watches or clocks. Broken or damaged items can be contributed also.  There will be a box at the door and another near the hall door to receive items.  It is best to put smaller items inside an envelope. 

Mobile Phone Collection:  Old mobile phones are also being collected as they can be sold to raise funds.   There is a box at both doors for any old mobiles you may have lying about.  Please erase any data and removes the sim card.   Do not include phone chargers.

Indoor Sale:  There will be an indoor “Car Boot Sale” as a fundraiser for the New Church on Saturday 5th November from 10am to 12 noon, in the church hall.  Donations are welcome. e.g. baking, books, hand made goods, bric‑à‑brac, new and good-as-new items.  For more information, see Catherine Walker or Morag Matheson.

MacMillan Coffee Morning:  There will be a Coffee Morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support in the church hall on Friday 4th November – The time will be confirmed in due course.

Ministry in Song:   The guest at this week’s Ministry in Song in the Capstone in Alness is Caroline Peat.   This is on Thursday at 7:30 pm.

Blythswood Shoebox Appeal:  Leaflets are available at the door.  Completed boxes can be delivered to the Church or to the Blythswood Shop by Friday 4th November.

Jobs: Blythswood is looking for a shop manager for Evanton & Christian Focus is looking for an Administrator.  See the minister for more details.

Fearn Communion: The communion takes places on the weekend of 12th and 13th November. The visiting preacher is Rev. John MacLean, formerly of Kilmuir, Skye.   If anyone connected with the congregation wishes to profess their faith and take communion for the first time, they should speak to the minister or one of the elders before then.

Clocks Change: Remember that the clocks change next week, going back to GMT
