Murdo will share some of his life story at the fellowship in Hilton following the evening service tonight. You are welcome to go there after the evening service in Tain to hear Murdo’s testimony.
New Members: Two new members have been added to the communion roll of the congregation at the Fearn Communion. Mr Hugh MacDonald by profession of faith and Mrs Betty Lochhead by certificate from another congregation.
Property Upkeep Fund: There is a collection at the close of both services next Sunday for the property upkeep fund.
Summer Sunday School: It would be good to have some volunteers who are prepared to take young children through to the hall during the holidays, particularly when we have visitors. If you are willing to help out with that, we could organise a rota to cover the Sundays during the holiday period.
Holiday Club: This year’s Holiday Club in Tain and Hilton will run from 3rd – 9th July. If you are able to help please let Mairi know.
Elders Allocation: Each home in the congregation has been allocated to a specific elder. We will publish a list soon of what homes have been assigned to each elder. These elders are available to support you in addition to the minister.
Free Will Envelopes: The envelopes for weekly giving to the church are available at the door. If you have not had any previously, and would like a set, please speak to Donald Beaton, Donella Ferrier or the minister.
ETS Prospectus: There is a copy of the new prospectus for Edinburgh Theological Seminary on the shelf through in the hall if anyone wishes to study the courses on offer. There are also some flyers which you can take away with you.
Tain Communion: The date of the September Communion has been changed from the 4th Sunday of the month, to the third Sunday, for this year only. Tain Communion will be on the weekend of 16th and 17th September. The guest preacher is Rev. Iver Martin.
New Church Fundraising Events
Tain Gala Stall: The Fund Raising Committee is organising a stall at Tain Gala on Saturday 1st July to sell our Calendars along with plants, tablet and tea-loaves. Donations of these latter items will be gratefully received on the Friday (30 June) from 6 pm to 8 pm in the Hall. Volunteers who are willing to staff the stall for a time should contact Morag Matheson.
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Gift Aid Forms: Along with your bulletin today is a Gift Aid Form. If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
Thank-you for attending our service today.
Note: There is a loop system in the church. We stand to sing and remain seated for prayer.
You are always welcome at any of our services during the week and you can find more information about us at
