New Church Fund: There is an opportunity at the close of both services today to contribute to the New Church Fund. Donations can be made at any time during the month but must be clearly marked- New Church Fund.
Free Lunch : The Free Lunch will take place in Hilton tomorrow between 12 noon and 2pm. Come along with a friend.
WFM: Women for Mission meet in the Hall in Tain from 2.30 pm. All welcome. (See Note below)
Midweek Meeting : Congregational Meeting with Presbytery at 7:30 pm in the church in Tain. (See note below)
Thursday: The Deacons Court meets in the manse in Tain at 7 pm.
Friday: Prayer and Fellowship Time: All are welcome for prayer and fellowship in the home of David and Anne Wilkie, 10 Duthac Wynd, at 11am

Baking Sale: Thanks to all those who baked for the Coop Baking Stall. It raised the sum of £220.00. for our New Church Fund.
Women For Mission: The WFM meets, at 2.30 pm this Tuesday (3rd October) in the Church Hall. John Garvie will give a talk on the work of The Gideons International. Tea and refreshments will be served. All are welcome. Bring a friend!
Assistant Minister: Northern Presbytery will meet with the congregation to oversee the signing of a call to Rev. Andrew MacLeod to be our assistant minister. This meeting will take place in Tain Free Church on Wed 4th Oct at 7:30pm. If you are unable to attend, but wish to show your support, you can sign a mandate which is available at the door.
Bible Study: The next Bible Study will be on Tuesday, 10th Oct at 7:30 pm at the home of David and Anne Wilkie, 10 Duthac Wynd. The passage for study is Philippians 1 verses 1-11. Each study is self contained and the aim is to generate informal discussion. Advance preparation for the study is not necessary and no-one will be expected to speak unless they wish to.
Africa Inland Mission: A.I.M. will host a dramatic presentation of the life story of Hudson Taylor, in Tain Parish Church on Saturday 14th Oct at 7:30 pm. There are flyers with more information at the door.
New Church Plans: The plans will be on display in the church hall. If you wish to give feedback, please fill in one of the sheets that are through in the hall.
U.F. Holiday Club :Mon 16th-Fri 20th Oct from 10 am – noon.
ETS Courses: Edinburgh Theological Seminary will begin its Saturday Lectures in mid-September.There is a leaflet on the notice-board and a list of the subjects covered. The course can be done online at a time that suits the individual. Although the courses have now started you can still sign up for them and catch-up online for any lectures missed. ETS also has an Access to Theology course on a Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, September to May and this can also be done by distance learning. Also available to do remotely is a course on Presbyterianism. You can study the literature or speak to the minister if you wish more information.
New Church Fundraising Events
Calendars: 2018 Calendars are now available and can be purchased anytime. They cost £5.00 Thanks to all those who contributed photos and please continue to take photos which may be used in future years.
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church
Gift Aid Forms: Please consider completing a Gift Aid Form if you are a tax payer and you donate to the church.
Sermon Recordings: If anybody wishes a copy of any sermon as an MP3, via e-mail – please e-mail your request to Tom Walker on firstname.lastname@example.org stating which sermon you would like.
