The meeting will discuss the proposed smacking ban, transgender lessons for 4-year-olds and the Named Person Scheme. The Inverness meeting will be on Monday 12th Feb from 7:30 – 9pm at Culduthel Christian Centre, 5 Culduthel Avenue, IV2 6AS.
Christian Witness to Israel: CWI will host a meeting in the church in Tain on Wednesday 21st February. This would normally be our congregational prayer meeting. CWI’s first Jewish Chief Executive since the 70s, Joseph Steinberg, will give a presentation on the work of the organization at the meeting. We expect to be joined by people from neighbouring Free Church congregations. There will be a collection for the work of CWI.
New Church Fundraiser: The church has been given the opportunity to provide a soup lunch for an event hosted by Highland Council in the Duthac Centre on Saturday 24th Feb. It will involve preparing and serving soup for 150 people. If you can cook or serve, please speak to Mairi.
Proposed Change to Evening Service Time: The Kirk-Session is proposing to change the time of evening service in Hilton to 4:30 pm. We hope this would make it easier for parents of young children to attend the evening service. We will in due course, issue a sheet to ascertain whether the congregation is in favour of this change or not.
ASDA Tokens: If you shop at Asda, there is currently an opportunity to put your green tokens towards our New Church Project. If we get the most tokens out of the three groups, we will receive £500.
